EFB as part of Integrated Avionic Systems

Hi everyone
The local aeronautical authority considers that the electronic charts functionalities included in integrated avionics systems (such as the Garmin 3000) must be certified as an EFB, in this case class installed with type B applications.
I will appreciate if any of you could tell me what is the position of FAA or EASA on this issue?Best regards
